Renewal and strengthening of the urban transport fleet
For the renewal of the park, the State of Senegal has made a lot of efforts for urban passenger transport.
In the Dakar region, 300 new minibuses were introduced in 2016 and were added to the renewal program of 1,300 vehicles already delivered.
Always sensitive to the well-being of populations, the Head of State, ordered the extension of this successful program in the regions in order to improve urban mobility and the quality of the urban transport offer.
Eventually, this program and its extensions will allow the registration of 550 new minibuses in Dakar, Thiès, Louga, Saint-Louis, Kaolack, Tambacounda and Ziguinchor at an overall cost of Fcfa 11.4 billion.
