Realization of autobridges and bridges
The government of Senegal through the Ministry of Infrastructure, Land Transport and Openness has undertaken a battery of measures to combat traffic jams in the Dakar region. Solutions are proposed. Among which we can mention the construction of 13 side bridges in the Senegalese capital. These autobridges are part of the ambitious program of construction of 18 bridges and autobridges in the regions of Sédhiou, Saint-Louis, Ziguinchor and Dakar. Thus, 3 bridges are planned in the Dakar region and 5 bridges in the regions.
In all, 5390 m of linear bridges will be made and 11 km of connecting bents. The autobridges located on the VDN at the Keur Gorgui City and Saint Lazard cemeteries will be received in the first half of 2019.
For an overall cost of about FCFA 137 billion, the duration of the program is 44 months. Eventually, these works of art will make it possible to improve the movement of people and goods in Dakar. At the regional level they will promote: the development of agriculture and fisheries with the facilitation of the sale of products, the development of tourism constituting a strong dormant potential, and the social development of populations by facilitating access to schools and health facilities.
